How to overcome nervousness in 3 words
At times we all get nervous, the butterflies start to swirl in our stomachs, we begin to feel fear and uneasiness. Your mouth gets dry and your hands begin to sweat. I use to feel this all the time, every time I needed to speak in public or ask a question where I was unsure of the outcome the panic would set in.
I would try to calm my breathing and relax but it always felt like a struggle and at times it would backfire and make me more nervous, I know we’ve all been there.
Whereas now as soon I feel nervous I repeat to my self 3 words “I am excited” and BOOM! the feeling fades away. You see I learnt that whether we are excited or nervous our body acts in the exact same way. In both scenarios the butterflies swirl, our hand sweat, our heart rate increases, and we shake. The only difference is the meaning we give to the situation. So next time you feel nervous try it out for yourself, repeat the words “I am excited” and see what happens.
It helps to smile as you say it 🙂
Saying “I am excited” has helped me achieve goals at a rapid pace and be motivated and inspired to tackle challenges that had seemed impossible for me. Part of being successful in life is to be excited by the challenges you will face, cause it is these challenges that will help you grow into the person you want to be.
I would love to hear about your experience and results.
I AM EXCITED!!!
