FAILURE
Failure or fear of failure has been ingrained into our minds from a young age. Our fears occur because we have gotten too comfortable, we have stopped adapting to our ever-changing environment. We are born with only two fears, fear of loud noise, and fear of falling. All the other fears are learnt; From our family, friends and our environment.
If you keep this mindset you will lose! Fear causes short-sightedness and will lead you to live in a cowardly manner.
Knowledge and application of Smart failures can lead to riches both tangible and intangible. Difficulties that you undertake will allow you to build yourself and it will make you stronger. No success was ever achieved without many failures.
Release yourself into the world!
Here are 3 Key solutions to overcome the fear of failure:
•Practice fear every day.
For example: Decide to smile/ talk to 5 new people every day. Start off small with a simple hello and as you build your confidence (immunity to fear) increase the length of the conversations, ask questions and make new friends.
Try new things!
Make decisions quickly, take action!
•Face and identify your fear. Start by writing your fear on a piece of paper and attack it. Create and write a plan on paper that will overcome this fear. This plan can include exposing yourself.
For example: Be yourself in places that would sometimes cause you to become timid. Your anxiety will 100% be burnt out the more you expose yourself. To keep exposing yourself remind yourself how great it felt the last time.
•Avoid negativity from others. If you’re not cautious negative people will take up hours of your day. Protect your time! For example: Refocus your thoughts on the negative conversation to something enlightening or walk away, don’t add any negativity to the conversation. Redirect the conversation by asking questions such as what do you want to achieve, what do you like etc., this will cause the conversations to curve in a positive manner. Avoid those who don’t offer positivity in your life and build a strong support network. Remember, to avoid another negativity we must remove our own!
Envision the positive outcomes that will arise after you have overcome your fears. To do this remind yourself of emotionally how you felt after you accomplished something. Use this as a fuel and a reminder to overcome any barriers that attempt to bring you down.
Failure is only temporary and courage will be the winner!
